At the end of the last year the graphic design of the Polish Film Internet Data Base filmpolski.pl.- which have been run at the Lodz Film School for 15 years - was changed.
The base provides thorough information on all
Polish films including feature films, documentaries, animated films, television
series, television plays, student films, as well as filmographies of Polish
filmmakers and actors.
Cinemateque is an important section of the newly
designed base, where it will be possible to see some of the films from the
base. Initially, there will be a hundred Lodz Film School student films available in the
Cinemateque section, which have been produced within 65 years of the school’s
existence. Those who are interested
will be able to watch student films of famous Polish filmmakers, school’s
graduates, as well as students films of its recent graduates. Among them there
are such filmmakers as: Filip Bajon, Andrzej Barański, Łukasz Barczyk, Leszek
Dawid, Slawomir Fabicki, Robert Gliński, Mariusz Grzegorzek, Kazimierz
Karabasz, Anna Kazejak, Jan Komasa, Dorota Kędzierzawska, Krzysztof Kieślowski,
Marek Koterski, Grzegorz Królikiewicz, Marcel Łoziński, Janusz Majewski,
Agnieszka Osiecka, Władysław Pasikowski, Marek Piwowski, Roman Polański, Józef
Robakowski, Zbigniew Rybczyński, Jerzy Skolimowski, Daniel Szczechura, Piotr
Szczepański, Piotr Szulkin, Małgorzata Szumowska, Andrzej Wajda, Wojciech
Wiszniewski and Krzysztof Zanussi.
All Cinemateque films are accompanied by
descriptive essays written by young film theoreticians Katarzyna
Mąka-Malatyńska and Piotr Pławuszewski.
The changes introduced to the base were
possible due to the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and National
Heritage.
The base, which have been run at the Lodz Film School for 15 years, has already been awarded twice the Polish Institute of the Film Art Prize for the best film base.
