Lodz Film School student films in "Łodzią po Wiśle" Competition will be screened at Warsaw Iluzjon Cinema on 7 & 8 April. See the list of films.

And who are the jury members?

ADAM GUZIŃSKI
Film and theatre director and a screenwriter. Born in 1970. Lodz Film School Direction graduate (1999). His student film "Jakub" won the Grand Prix at the Cinéfondation Film Festival in Cannes (1998). His next film "Antychryst" (2002) was screened at over 80 film festivals winning many awards and distinctions, amongst them the Grand Prix at the Bilbao Film Festival thank to which it was shortlisted for an Oscar nomination. His full-length fiction debut film "Chłopiec na galopującym koniu" (2006) had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, followed by a participation in over 60 festivals. Lately Adam Guzinski has directed a few plays for theatre and television and shot a few TV series. "Wspomnienie lata" is his secondo full-length fiction film. ADAM PALENTA
Cinematographer, member of the Polish Society of Cinematographers (PSC). Born in 1976. Graduate of Radio and Television Department of the Silesian University and Poznan Fine Arts Academy. His cinematographer’s debut, a film „Baby Bump” by Kuba Czekaj, won a prestigious Queer Lion Award Special Mention at the 72nd Venice Film Festival and a Special Mention at the 40th Film Festival in Gdynia. The two film-makers’ next project, a film „Królewicz Olch”, had its American premiere at the Slamdance Festival, and the European one at the Berlin Film Festival. The film won the Youth Jury Award at the 41st Gdynia Film Festival. Adam Palenta is the winner of numerous prizes and distinctions in Poland and abroad at such Film Festivals as: Outfest, Los Angeles, Palm Springs International Short Fest USA, DOXA Documentary FF, Canada (Youth Jury Honourable Mention), BCN Sports Film Festival Spain, European Film Schools’ Festival, Vilnius Film and Cracow Film Festival. http://filmpolski.pl/fp/index.php?osoba=1152259

JAKUB TARKOWSKI
Director and animator. Born in 1978. Lodz Film School animation graduate. In 2003, received Ridley Scott Award for the storyboard for a full-length animated film „Le Bab”. Worked for Moving Pictures Company on „Harry Potter IV” and as a special effects animator for Ridley Scott’s film „Kingdom of Heaven”. Author of animated projects for theatre plays, music videos and advertisements. Co-director of his full-length debut film „Jeż Jerzy” , next to Wojtek Wawszczyk and Tomasz Leśniak. At present, is working at the Human Ark directing the second season of the series for children „Kacperiada” and on a new project „We Are the Tribe”. http://filmpolski.pl/fp/index.php?osoba=11114565

A jury consisting of film professionals will award the Grand Prix and main prizes in four categories: Best Fiction Short Film, Best Short Documentary, Best Animated Film and Best Cinematography Student Film.

The Festival has been organized in Warsaw each spring since 2003. The main objective of the Competition is to promote Lodz Film School students and their films, confront a wide audience and film professionals. It’s a great opportunity for meetings and discussions on current life of the Lodz Film School and the world of young film makers. The Competition has always been a very popular film event.
