The funeral of prof Eugeniusz Haneman, a Lodz Film School lecturer who died on 15 January, will take place at the Evangelist-Augsburg cemetary in Warsaw, Mlynarska Street, on 22 January at 12:30.
On 15 Jan in Borzecin near Warsaw died at the age of 96 prof. Eugeniusz Haneman, photography artist, director of photography and a lecturer at the Lodz Film School where he taught for over 50 years.
He was one of the photographers documenting the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. After the war he worked as a cinematographer in Lodz, where he was the director of photography of the first post war animation film “Za krola Krakusa” by Zenon Wasilewski.
In the early 50ties he started working at the Lodz Film School where he taught for over 50 years. Eugeniusz Haneman was most of all a photography artist, the author of many photographic albums and exhibitions, a meritorious member of the Polish Photography Artists Association, and the Lodz Photography Society. In 2013 the Gallery of the Lodz Photography Society in Piotrkowska street was named after Eugeniusz Haneman.
