A cluster of exhibitions created on the initiative and in cooperation of the Lodz Uni, the Academy of Fine Arts and the Lodz Film School opens on Oct 2 at 20 in the MOTYL Uni building, Sienkiewicza 21
Cinema is a mosaic of sensitivity, languages and ways of seeing the world; it is a storehouse of vague flashes, of seemingly insignificant conversations, suddenly spotted fragments of a larger whole. Finally, cinema is a fusion of all arts.
The exhibition "Co # Presence Lessons" is a journey into the school's mind. It allows you to have a broader look: observe the unnamed, mysterious mechanisms of the creative process; see exercises and trials usually hidden by artists; observe how authors use various media and materials to reveal to the recipient the diversity and richness of reality.
The exhibition "Co # Lessons of Presence" enables experiencing the area the essence of which is contact with people. In the works shown at the exhibition, the hero is the priority, the basis of each story. Captured glances, secretly noticed gestures or words heard by chance are the most important, as it is alive, matter of film art. At the exhibition "Co # Lessons of Presence" you can meet the protagonist both in films and photographs of students from all faculties, but also in direct contact, in a freely told story.
"Why are we so far apart?" - asked the Film School lecturer, Prof. Antoni Bohdziewicz at the congress in Wisła in 1949, when the post-war foundations for the film industry in Poland were laid. This question may also be asked today, for reasons other than then.
The exhibition therefore offers several lessons of closeness - with people, with thought, nature, silence and technology. Because, as reality shows, we learn closeness over and over again.
