Director, cinematographer and screenwriter, our cinematography graduate, JAN HOLOUBEK will run workshops for 3rd and 4th year students of acting, as part of Łukasz Maciejewski's classes.
Łukasz Maciejewski, lecturer at the Acting Department, maintains a high standard in his choice of guests. This coming Tuesday, October 25, Jan Holoubek will be the guest of regular meetings with young actors.
A versatile film and documentary filmmaker, he initially worked in the 1990s as a camera operator on THE SUPPLEMENT dir. Krzysztof Zanussi, CHOPIN. DESIRE FOR LOVE, dir. Jerzy Antczak and TOMORROW’S WEATHER, dir. Jerzy Stuhr, as well as television shows, including those by Krystyna Janda.
He made his debut as a director with the documentary SŁOŃCE I CIEŃ about Gustaw Holoubek and Tadeusz Konwicki. For 25 YEARS OF INNOCENCE, his feature debut, he was showered with awards in Poland and abroad (including the Best Debut or Second Film Award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and the Polish Film Festival in Chicago - the Award for the Best Debut Film).
In recent years, he has made series produced by the Netflix platform: ROJST, ROJST '97 and HIGH WATER.
This year's winner of the VICTOR Award in the ARTIST OF THE YEAR category.
