The nominees for the 95th American Academy Awards 2023 have been announced. Among them there is Jerzy Skolimowski’s film “EO” competing in the Best International Feature Film category. Not only the director of the film, Jerzy Skolimowski, is a graduate of our School. The cinematographers for the film are our graduates of the Cinematography and TV Production Department: Michał Dymek, Paweł Edelman (currently a lecturer and vice dean of the Dept.) and Michał Englert. Agnieszka Glińska, the editor of Jerzy Skolimowski's film, also graduated from the school in Targowa Street. 

However, there is also another filmmaker, Kate McCullough, our school cinematography graduate, who shot the Irish film “The Quiet Girl” competing for an Oscar in the same category as “EO”.

The nominees in the International Feature Film category are:
“EO”, Poland
“THE QUIET GIRL”, Ireland
“ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT” , Germany
“ARGENTINA, 1985”, Argentina
“CLOSE”, Belgium

The 95th American Film Academy Awards winners will be announced during the Gala on the night of the 12/13, March.
