Our lecturers, graduates and a PhD student are among the nominees for the Polish Film Awards. The winners will be announced on 6, March during the 25th Eagles Gala.

This year's selection for the EAGLES award, which is referred to by the media as the "Polish Oscars", included 73 feature films, 51 documentaries and 25 TV series. The list of this year's nominations selected in a vote was presented on February 8 at noon at the headquarters of CANAL+ Polska by members of the Polish Film Academy, who are nominees and winners of previous editions of the Eagles.

Here are "our" EAGLES nominees:

EO, dir. Jerzy Skolimowski, graduate of Film and TV Directing Dept., nominations in the following categories: Best Film, Best Direction, Best Screenplay, Best Costumes, Best Music, Best Art Direction, Best Sound, as well as:
- Best Cinematography for Michał Dymek, graduate of Cinematography and TV Production Dept.;
- Best Editing for Agnieszka Glińska.

WOMAN ON THE ROOF, dir. Anna Jadowska, graduate and lecturer at Film/TV Directing Dept;
nominations in the categories: Best Film, Best Direction, Best Screenplay, Best Art Direction.

BREAD AND SALT, dir. Damian Kocur, PhD student, Doctoral School at PWSFTviT
nominations in the categories: Best Film, Best Direction, Best Screenplay, Discovery of the Year (direction and screenplay), Best Cinematography.

Nominees in the Best Cinematography category:

Jolanta Dylewska, Dean of Cinematography and TV Production Dept., for the film THE EAGLE.LAST PATROL, dir. Jacek Bławut, lecturer at Film/TV Directing Dept.

Jakub Kijowski, Cinematography and TV Production Dept. graduate, for the film SILENT TWINS, dir. Agnieszka Smoczyńska.

Nominees in the Best Editing category:

Magdalena Chowańska, Film Editing graduate, for the film INNI LUDZIE, dir. Aleksandra Terpińska;

Piotr Wójcik, Bartłomiej Piasek, Film Editing graduates, for the film THE EAGLE. LAST PATROL, dir. Jacek Bławut.

In the Best Screenplay category, our graduate of Television Production, Jacek Lusiński, together with Szymon Augustyniak, have been nominated for the screenplay of the film ŚUBUK.

In the Best Documentary category, the film SILENT LOVE by our graduate of the Cinematography and TV Production Dept., Marek Kozakiewicz, has been nominated.

Ireneusz Czop, graduate and lecturer at the Acting Dept., for the role in the film BROAD PEAK, dir. Leszek Dawid, lecturer at the Film/TV Directing Dept.;

Piotr Trojan, Acting Dept. graduate, for the role in the film JOHNNY, dir. Daniel Jaroszek.
