The proud Lodz Film School congratulates you on your OAR OF CULTURE Award.

"Readers in an online vote decided that the award would go to Karolina Kowalska. Her acting, which brought the artist awards in three categories at last year's Festival of Theatre Schools in Łódź, was appreciated. And the fact that she treats theatre with tenderness and challenge," reads the article in Gazeta Wyborcza summarizing this year's edition of Oars of Culture.

- I feel great gratitude to this city and to the Lodz Film School which taught me that first you are a human being and then an actor, and also that you should love the theatre in yourself, not yourself in the theatre. I am very pleased that here I was able to develop and sail further. I invite you to Wybrzeże Theatre, where I arrived. - said Karolina Kowalska, a graduate of our Acting Department, while receiving the award.

Karolina played memorable roles in MARY PAGE MARLOWE by Tracy Letts, directed by Adam Orzechowski, GOD COUNTED THE DAYS by Konrad Hetel, directed by Radek Stępień, and in 115th BOB DYLAN'S DREAM by Wojciech Kościelniak. Her performance was appreciated at last year's Festival of Theatre Schools in Łódź where she won statuettes in three categories: Jury Award for Best Actress, "The Most Thrilling Actress" Audience Award and the "Charismatic Actor/Actress" Łódź Journalists' Award. Currently, she is an actress of the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk

OARS OF CULTURE is an award of "Gazeta Wyborcza" and Monopolis in Łódź, one of the goals of which is to promote young and local artists. Those who let Lodz (Boat) sail out into the open waters.

This year, in addition to Karolina Kowalska, our other graduates, Olga Kłyszewicz and Maciej Jankowski, were nominated in the DEBUTANT category.
