OKFA is the oldest in Poland (69th edition ahead of us!), a constantly developing project focused on cinema outside the official distribution circuit. The competition part of the event is addressed to amateur filmmakers, independent filmmakers and students of film schools. The organizer of the competition is the Centre for Culture and Art in Konin, the honorary partner - the Federation of Independent Filmmakers, the artistic patron - our school.
The patron of the festival, which is particularly close to us, is Prof. Henryk Kluba, film director, actor, film producer, educator and long-term rector of our School. In an interview for Filmforum, he once said: "Combining honesty with discipline, beautiful thoughts with the rules of technology - that's what I wish my independent filmmakers, whose films I always enjoy watching." “He watched willingly, with insight and kindness, and then willingly discussed. That is why he was so often invited to the juries of amateur and independent film festivals. In Konin, he was the chairman of the Jury 9 times” - write the organizers of the Konin Festival.
OKFA is held from 8 to 11 June.
