I swear, I wanted to base this year’s Shortlist on love stories. Once again, however, it turned out that it does not matter how a Pole begins, they will always end up talking about death and evanescence. Does this mean that the entrance to the New Horizons Cinema should have an inscription saying “Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here”?
