Lecturer and artistic supervisor. Animated film creator and outstanding artist. Our friend. PIOTR DUMAŁA is the winner of the Special Golden Dinosaur of the Etiuda&Anima Festival!

This year's Etiuda&Anima IFF Golden Dinosaur Special Award for an active teacher and creator goes to Piotr Dumała, Head of the Faculty of Animated Film and Special Effects of the Cinematography and TV Production Department.

The award ceremony will be accompanied by a screening of films by his students and Dumała's latest film FIN DEL MUNDO, which premiered at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia. 

The ceremony and screening will take place at the Closing Gala of the Festival on 25, November (Saturday)

PIOTR DUMAŁA An excellent Polish artist: screenwriter, animator, director, set designer, illustrator, poster artist, writer, actor, and teacher. A graduate of the Faculty of Conservation of Art Works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1982), where he also studied at the Film Graphics Master Class of Prof. Daniel Szczechura, co-founder of the Polish School of Animation, also winner of the Dragon of Dragons award. Piotr Dumała produces both auteur and commercial animation (features from festivals and television programmes, advertisements, music videos). He collaborated on the production of theatre shows by Roman Polański and Grzegorz Jarzyna. He also creates press drawings, book covers and theatre and film posters. In animation, he uses traditional drawings and computer techniques, as well as the plaster tile method he invented. He is often inspired by literature (Franz Kafka, Fyodor Dostoevsky). Winner of numerous film awards, including festivals in Bilbao, Espinho, Huesca, Mannheim, Montreal, Oberhausen, Ottawa, Zagreb and others. Lecturer at the Lodz Film School, Head of the Faculty of Animated Film and Special Effects. Member of the Polish Film Academy. Author of "THE LAST SUPPER", "EDERLY", HIPPOTAMES", "CRIME AND PUNISHMENT", FRANZ KAFKA", WALLS" and others.
