*„Next to Nothing”. A debut film which delighted the jury in Gdynia. Hailed as a phenomenon, Grzegorz Dębowski's debut full-length feature film was awarded 6 statuettes at the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, i.e. "Golden Claw" for boldness of form and content in the "Visions Apart" category, Director’s Debut, Screenplay, Leading Actor (Artur Paczesny), Supporting Actress (Agnieszka Kwietniewska), Don Quixote Award of the Polish Federation of Film Discussion Clubs. "Next to Nothing" is a new look at the Polish village and their inhabitants, which the author examines through the prism of the crime fiction genre. Oleksandr Pozdnyakov's cinematography gives the film an almost documentary character. Grzegorz Dębowski worked, gaining experience, as an assistant director to Paweł Pawlikowski, Leszek Dawid, Martha Coolidge and Gary Romolo Fiorelli. He graduated from directing at the Lodz Film School. He has written many screenplays, including the one for the film we are going to see as a pre-premiere screening on 7, December at the Film School Cinema. During the meeting after the screening, you will be able to talk to the director, producer as well as Artistic Director of the Munk Studio, Jerzy Kapuściński ("Silent Night", "Bread and Salt"), who has been supporting novice artists for years.

* Jakub Gierszał in a debutant's film This film is an example of artistic cinema that serves contemplation and allows you to immerse yourself in the hero's world. On December 14 at 7:00 p.m., viewers will be able to see "Ultima Thule" by Klaudiusz Chrostowski at the Film School Cinema. After the award-winning documentary "Call Me Tony", the Lodz Film School graduate directed another famous title, which won the Microbudget Competition at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, and recently received the prestigious Janusz "Kuba" Morgenstern Award - "Perspektywa". This film is an author's cinema, reminiscent of "Nomadland" in its lyricism, and at the same time a surprising story about a lonely journey to the end of the world in search of acceptance and one's own forgiveness. After the screening, there will be a meeting with the leading actor, Jakub Gierszał and director, Klaudiusz Chrostowski. It is also an ideal opportunity to learn how to make a film on a micro-budget. The meeting will be led by Agata Gwizdała, a culture expert and journalist.
