The award for the best theatre debut in drama theatres in the 2022/23 season went to Karolina Kowalska, an actress of the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk, and a graduate of our Acting Faculty. The Nardelli Award was awarded by the Chapter of the Theatre Critics Section of the Association of Polish Stage Artists (ZASP) chaired by Krystyna Piaseczna. The award ceremony took place on Monday (January, 15) at the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw. Karolina was awarded for her role as Celina Mickiewiczowa in the play KOŁO SPRAWY BOŻEJ by Konrad Hetel, directed by Radek Stępień.

The audiences of the Studyjny Theatre in Łódź remember her roles as Tracy Letts in the play MARY PAGE MARLOWE, directed by Adam Orzechowski and in THE 115th DREAM OF BOB DYLAN, directed by Wojciech Kościelniak, awarded during the 40th edition of the Theatre Schools Festival in Łódź.

Since the 1998/99 season, the ZASP Theatre Critics Section has been awarding the award "for the best acting debut", named after Andrzej Nardelli, an artist whose brilliant career was interrupted by her tragic death.

On January 19, the audience will be able to see Karolina Kowalska in a new play at the Wybrzeże Theatre, DZIEWCZYNA, KTÓRA PODEPTAŁA CHLEB (THE GIRL WHO TRADED ON THE BREAD), directed by the former Rector of our School and our lecturer, Mariusz Grzegorzek.
