The 9th edition of the film competition for youth: #63seconds, organized by the Warsaw Uprising Museum, is starting. The Lodz Film School is the patron of the Competition.

"That, which is invisible, yet important" is the slogan of this year's ninth edition of the #63seconds film competition organized by the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The competition starts on 5, February and will last until 11, April. The main prize is PLN 10,000 and participation in the closing gala of the International Festival of Independent Cinema Mastercard OFF CAMERA in Krakow. The ambassador of this year's edition of the competition is Kacper Zembrzucki, Zetkacper - the Internet creator known to teachers and students. Our school took patronage over the competition. Our lecturer, Krzysztof Czeczot, is in the Jury.

The #63seconds film competition is addressed to young people aged 15-22 who want to use film to express what is important to them, important in their lives, and not visible to the naked eye. The past and history or a look into the future? The world of values, fears or hopes?

Participants can create their film work using any technique. It can be a fiction or animated film or art work. Each submitted material will be assessed in terms of artistic aspects included in the 63-second form.

"Regardless of the times we live in, new technologies and dizzying pace of life, emotions and values invariably influence our dreams, choices and attitude in life. Almost 80 years ago - guided by exactly the same - young Warsaw Insurgents did the impossible. That's why this year, we want to find out what their peers are thinking about today - what is most important to them. We are waiting for the film works of young creators - their voice is important and we want to hear it," said Jan Ołdakowski, director of the Warsaw Uprising Museum.

COMPETITION JURY
The prizes will be awarded in May during the Closing Gala of the International Festival of Independent Cinema Mastercard OFF CAMERA in Krakow. The films will be assessed by a jury composed of film stars: Kinga Dębska - director, Sonia Szyc - actress, Maciej Zakościelny - actor, Krzysztof Czeczot - actor, director, lecturer at our School, Jakub Armata - programmer of the Mastercard OFF CAMERA festival and Jan Ołdakowski - director of the Warsaw Uprising Museum .
