Emi Buchwald, our film and TV directing graduate, will be the heroine of a new film series organized by the National Centre for Film Culture. We invite you on 18, June.

Every national cinema needs injections of fresh blood. Without it, it stagnates, as the 10th muse in Poland experienced, among others, at the beginning of the political transformation, when the new generation could not or was unable to have a voice. Fortunately, today Polish cinema is not touched by this problem. On the contrary, you need to follow the festivals carefully so as not to miss the many promising names which will soon turn out to be diamonds and will make a mark on a local, and maybe even global, scale.

We invite you to film screenings and, after the screening, to a meeting with the director.

The programme includes:

HEIMAT (25 min)
A rather unique family of five people meets at the police station. Adult children must testify against the man who beat their father.

PIĘKNA ŁĄKA KWIETNA (30 min)
Landscape architect Emil fights an unequal battle with the world of people indifferent to the beauty of nature. Due to his neurotic decisiveness, he plunges into a spiral of absurd events, and at the same time, tries to be a good father.

ECHO (20 min)
Two teenagers, Ania and Bartek, want to get rid of their biggest enemy - stuttering. The inner monster makes them feel alienated and unable to function normally in the world. During stuttering therapy, they face the feeling of guilt and inferiority which the monster causes in them. They try to get to know it and tame it, as well as get to like themselves and stop being afraid.
