The Jury included literary and poetry critics: Paolo Giovannetti, Roberta Bisogno, Luigi Socci, Giulio Mozzi, and Giulia Di Battista. This is how they justified granting the award to the film "Glimpses":
"From the very title, Dominika Strobel's PrzeBłyski (Glimpses) plays its expressive cards on the exchange between subjective perception (the glance) and objective facts (glimmers, sudden images). Memory, invoked as the unifying element of the poetic event, oscillates in turn between an emphasis on the material-biological datum and the cultural one (the world as an „anthology of images”), not without evident religious references. The dream, which memory captures, literally blurs, dematerializes, turns into discarded figurations and sounds, into glitches; but finally imposes itself as a visual promise appearing at the center of the „primordial”. The intense minutes of this video poetry capture well many themes of our time, expressing them through the medium of form, through the inseparable nexus of sound and image; i. e. the necessity of memorial recovery opposed to the destruction of time, the regeneration of the past opposed to the discovery of its annihilation".

ABOUT THE FILM
The author of the film questions the existence of the world. Using an archaic tool - a Super 8 mm camera, She films and describes the current reality as if it were already the past which needs to be recreated from memory or dream. Completing a series of images related to nature, religion and civilization, she adds a reflective off-screen commentary which describes the world and the memory of it as something fragile and transient, which is not given "forever".
