Once again, the Lodz Film School has been included in this year's ranking of the best film schools in the world by the prestigious magazine The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hollywood Reporter has published this year's ranking of the world's best film schools. The Lodz Film School, once again, is among the 15 best film schools in the world, alongside schools such as the French La Femis, the Czech FAMU and the Chinese Beijing Film Academy.

Congratulations to our lecturers, students and staff – your talent, work and efforts allow the School to maintain a consistently high standard, appreciated not only in Poland but also in distant corners of the world.

The entry concerning the school reads: „Lodz Film School (Poland) One of Europe’s oldest film schools, with an alumni list that runs from Oscar-winning directors Roman Polanski and Andrzej Wajda to legendary auteur Krzysztof Kieślowski and an astounding number of world-class cinematographers (Pawel Edelman, Dariusz Wolski, Lukasz Zal), Lodz offers full- and part-time instruction to work toward a bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. Tuition-free for EU citizens, international students can expect to shell out between 4,000 to 11,000 euros ($4,300-$12,000) a year depending on the program. All courses are in Polish, but the university offers a year-long Polish-language course to anyone accepted before they begin their studies".
