You will hear the sound installation RAW WHISPERS during the Łódź Freedom Parade on Saturday, August 31.
Venue: Plac Wolności 14. Time: 1 p.m. - 10 p.m.
This is where an unusual sound installation by Bartłomiej Talaga, our graduate and lecturer, will appear, inviting you to listen deeply and reflect. RAW WHISPERS is a space which combines the rawness and tenderness of sounds, leading you to cross the boundaries of everyday listening.
This three-channel installation uses sine, square and white noise waves to create a dynamic and unpredictable acoustic field. These sounds modulate each other to create a generative piece of music – an experience which is both intense and gentle. The movement and fluctuation of the waves fill the space, opening up new auditory horizons.
RAW WHISPERS encourages us to search for more than just noise in sounds. This installation is not in opposition to the surrounding music of the Freedom Parade but is an invitation to change perspective - to listen to what is internal and universal.
The installation asks questions about what is close to each of us, regardless of our beliefs. It invites us to enter a zone where sound becomes something more than just audible - it becomes a felt experience, leading us towards deeper listening.
Enter RAW WHISPERS and allow yourself a moment to listen, to experience the wave that surrounds you. It is an invitation to an experiment where every moment summon up a new impression, a new thought, a new understanding.
Bartłomiej Talaga
Multimedia artist. In his work, he uses photography, sound, video, and installation.
He is interested in the interpenetration of art disciplines, where sound, image and space mutually drive each other provoking energetic impulses. The frequency of the resulting audio/visual interference leads to RESONANCE - the main material of his artistic practice.
He is a graduate and lecturer at the Film School in Lodz. Through his teaching, he shares his own experience - he focuses on the purposefulness and legitimacy of the gestures made which lead to personal and authentic expression. He is a co-founder of TON magazine (ton-mag.pl). and designer of photography books.
