The film A GIRL WITH A NEEDLE directed by Magnus von Horn was awarded 6 statuettes at the Closing Gala of the festival. Among the winners there are our graduates; see the full list.

The Jury of the 49th Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia, consisting of: Małgorzata Zajączkowska - Chairwoman of the Jury, Marcin Ciastoń, Marta Habior, Anna Jadowska, David Ondříček, Ewa Skoczkowska, Piotr Śliskowski, awarded the following prizes:

* The GOLDEN LIONS for the best film GREEN BORDER went to director Agnieszka Holland – our last year’s laureate of the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, and producers Agnieszka Holland, Marcin Wierzchosławski and Fred Bernstein.

The film also received the Audience Award!

* The SILVER LIONS for the film A GIRL WITH A NEEDLE went to to director Magnus von Horn and producers Mariusz Włodarski and Malene Blenkov – Magnus von Horn and Mariusz Włodarski are lecturers at the Department of Film and Television Directing.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS went to:

* for the cinematography in the film A GIRL WITH A NEEDLE: Michał Dymek – graduate of cinematography.

* for the editing of the film WROOKLYN ZOO: Sebastian Mialik – editing graduate.

The creators of A GIRL WITH A NEEDLE also received statuettes for: music, set design, costumes and supporting female role.

* GOLDEN CLAW AWARD NAMED AFTER ANDRZEJ ŻUŁAWSKI:
TO NIE MÓJ FILM (THIS IS NOT MY FILM) directed by Maria Zbąska – cinematography graduate, producer Inga Kruk

The “Platinum Lions” award for lifetime achievement was received by director Wojciech Marczewski.
