The 31st Etiuda&Anima International Film Festival runs from 22 to 27, October.

During the festival, the Polish Filmmakers Association Awards (Animated Film Section) for 2023 will also be presented, awarded by the members of the Chapter. The Chapter consists of: chairwoman – Alicja Witkowska, Joanna Jasińska-Koronkiewicz, Tomasz Siwiński, Maria Deskur, Andrzej Gosieniecki.

The jury watched 51 animated films and awarded the following artists who are associated with the Lodz Film School:

* The BEST DEBIUT Award went to Natalia Durszewicz (animation graduate) for the film WAIT FOR ME IN A DREAM (MA graduation film, prod. Fumi Studio).

The film was also recognized for its music, composed by Sebastian Ładyżyński.

* The BEST ANIMATION in a Film Award went to Joanna Szlembarska and Anna Polińska for the film COMPOSITION OF EXISTING EXPERIENCES (prod. Lodz Film School, Likaon).

A Special Mention was presented to Michalina Musialik and Justyna Pazdan (animation graduates) for the film DZIEWCZYNKA DO ORZECHÓW (prod. Fumi Studio).

* BEST SCREENPLAY Award went to Wojciech Lepianka (screenwriting graduate) for the film CORPORAL WOJTEK (prod. Filmograf, Illuminated Film Company, TVP).

A Special mention was presented to Marta Chyła-Janicka (animation graduate) for the film SHE CAT HIM (prod. Fumi Studio).

* BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY Award went to Piotr Matysiak (cinematography graduate and lecturer) for the film IN SIDE (prod. vnLab).

* WŁADYSŁAW NEHREBECKI AWARD FOR THE BEST STUDENT FILM
A Special Mention went to Sara Szymańska for the film THE OPENING NIGHT (prod. Lodz Film School).
