The fashion photography exhibition can be viewed from 15, November at the ASP Gallery on Piotrkowska Street in Łódź. The opening will take place on 22, November at 5 p.m.
The fashion photography exhibition NOTHING IS REAL by students and lecturers of the Lodz Film School is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of fashion seen through the eyes of many authors. Its composition integrates the views of creators with different experiences, which makes it an open and extremely interesting dialogue. This type of visual conversation revolves around a topic which affects everyone to a greater or lesser extent. The bond that unites is the medium of photography in various versions and techniques, as well as a fresh perspective.
The works presented are not only aesthetic compositions, but above all an exploration of the deeper, more personal content of the authors of the photographs. Each photograph is the result of searching for a separate perspective on fashion and its connections with people, nature and contemporary visual culture. The artists face the challenge of finding their own voice in a world that is constantly evolving. Their fashion photographs are an attempt to capture not only the clothing itself, but also the story that can be told with its help. Fashion, treated here as a language of expression, gives rise to a pretext for a broader discussion on the relationship between art and commerce. Fashion photography thus becomes something more than just a promotional tool.
The exhibition is proof that fashion can be seen as an art form, and fashion photography is a great tool for expressing new concepts which combine aesthetics with intellectual reflections. It is also a testimony to the constant search for creative expression, which is the essence of studies at the Film School in Łódź. Each of the artists exhibiting their work tries not only to capture beauty, but also to find their own, unique visual language, which will distinguish them from other creators and allow them to redefine what fashion photography is in today's world.
