Basia Rupik’s animated film SUCH MIRACLES DO HAPPEN wins the Best Student Award at the New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival in Japan.

Another success for Barbara Rupik's animated and master's degree film!

The film SUCH MIRACLES DO HAPPEN was honoured with the Best Student Award.

The event takes place at the terminal of New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, which literally connects the island with the rest of the world.

The jury statement: Only a few films in the history of animation deal with faith seriously, and very few indeed manage to deliver it so captivating at the same time. And with the help of completely enchanting stop-motion animation.

But this is not the only Polish accent in Japan.
The Grand Prix for Short Film of the Festival was won by Tomasz Popakul (graduate of animated film and special effects) and Kasumi Ozeki for the film WINTER.
