Mohammed Almughanni's fiction film, co-produced by INDEKS Film Studio, wins the Louis Le Prince competition award and thus is legible - already for the second time – for an Oscar qualification!

The Leeds International Film Festival presented awards in the short film competitions.

In the international competition Louis Le Prince, the fiction film by Mohammed Almughanni entitled AN ORANGE FROM JAFFA, co-produced by INDEKS Film Studio, was presented.

The film won the Main Prize in the section that qualifies for the American Film Academy Awards! This is the second qualification for the film by our graduate of directing.

Mohammed and Farouk seemingly have little in common. Mohammed has returned to Palestine for a short visit, carrying a permanent residence card and the promise of a peaceful future. Farouk, on the other hand, is a young taxi driver condemned to live in one of the world's most dangerous places. When their lives intersect, stark differences emerge, creating tensions that are hard to navigate. Can Mohammed and Farouk bridge their divides when confronted with the arrogance of Israeli soldiers?
