A student of the Cinematography and Television Production Department of our School, Xymena Zaręba, is participating in ECO Film Lab, an international programme prepared by Bibesh Roy, a lecturer at IAFM - International Academy of Film and Media in Bangladesh.

“Welcome to ECO Film Lab, where we believe in the power of film to change the world for the better. 15 days long ECO Film Lab is an International Film residency for filming in nature,” write the programme organizers. Its participants will learn about the local community, culture, and the effects of climate change. During the residency, they will receive mentoring support. The result of their presence in Bangladesh will be short films, which will be made by international film crews. One of its members is our student, Xymena Zaręba.

The international "learning by doing" programme takes place in the Sundarbans, one of the largest mangrove forests in the world.

One of the mentors of the programme is Marcin Malatyński, our lecturer and Head of International Relations at our school.

We keep our fingers crossed for Xymena and look forward to more beautiful postcards.
