To the delight of students, lecturers and, we hope, viewers, we have launched the third edition of the series development programme. We are implementing the programme in cooperation with NETFLIX.

Once again, students from our School will develop their ideas for mini-series under the supervision of lecturers and specialists in the TV series industry. They will work in six 3-person creative teams, each consisting of a director, screenwriter and producer. During several months of work on the projects, students will have the opportunity to learn from practitioners and theoreticians of TV series recommended by NETFLIX. The programme will culminate in a presentation of the projects to their potential producers.

In the third edition of the programme, the following students will work on the series: fourth-year screenwriting students: Alicja Czepli, Stanisław Drygiel, Magdalena Kućka, Magdalena Król, Fabian Godyń and Marcel Woźniak; fifth-year directing students: Maciej Tyburski, Konrad Kultys, Marcjanna Lelek, Adam Libudzisz, Shan Meng and Mukai Liao; and fourth-year film art organization students: Jagoda Surzycka, Aleksandra Nowakowska, Julia Rapior, Julia Pietrasik, Radosław Rzepka and Maria Posiadało.

On behalf of the School, the projects will be supervised by screenwriting lecturers: Kacper Wysocki, Bartosz Staszczyszyn, Arkadiusz Antosz, Andrzej Mellin, a lecturer at the Directing Department – Grzegorz Jaroszuk, as well as Anna Pachnicka, Dean and lecturer at the Film Art Organization Department; Marcin Malatyński, Head International Relations and lecturer at our School, and Leszek Dawid, Dean and lecturer at the Film and Television Directing Department.

The programme is the result of long-term cooperation between the Lodz Film School and NETFLIX, the aim of which is the creative development of a new generation of filmmakers. The partners are united by common goals – discovering and supporting young talents, as well as enabling them to improve the practical professional skills necessary to start a career in the changing film market.

We keep our fingers crossed for our students. The first two editions were great - we are looking forward to the third.
