Jan Bujnowski's film is competing in the international competition of one of the most important film festivals in the world. Congratulations and fingers crossed!
"The international competition is a meeting place and a crossroads of different horizons, which constitute the richness of world short film", write the organizers of the International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand. The presence of the film DANCING IN THE CORNER in the international competition of the festival is a great distinction for the authors of the film whom we congratulate and for whom we keep our fingers crossed.
The film was made thanks to a grant from the Doctoral School of the Polish National Film School in Łódź and produced at the INDEKS Film Studio. Its world premiere took place during the Semaine de la Critique of the Cannes IFF 2024, and the director received the RAIL D'OR award from the Ceux du Rail Association.
DANCING IN THE CORNER
Film synopsis: After the fall of communism in 1989, colour TVs are no longer a luxury good in Poland. The screens in many Polish homes are beginning to look more like the reality outside the window. But is reality truly colourful?
