WELL DEPOISONING ECHOES is a sentimental, sonic return to the archetypal well of the ancestors, but also to a specific photographic work by Andrzej Różycki "Zatruta studnia" (The Poisoned Well, 1967). The freely improvised soundscape intersects with a stream of flashes generated by a metal sheet from the equipment of his photographic darkroom. It is a dialogue with the deceased artist - with his achievements, trace and the world he left behind. The common points found lead to the author's impulses, opening up a field for new readings. The four-track tape recorder will become an instrument evoking time and memories in a space filled with a video projection. "Impulse reponse/Depoisoning the Well" was released on a cassette issued in cooperation of the Nasze Nagrania and the Film School Publishing House in Łódź.

The video was prepared by 2nd and 4th year photography students: Marcin Korbus (photos + VJ), Jan Suchorab (editing).

In his work, he uses photography, sound, video and installation. He is interested in the interpenetration of art fields, where sound, image and space mutually drive each other, provoking energetic impulses. The frequency of the resulting audio/visual interference leads to SOUND – the main material of his artistic practice. He performs live and creates in the space of intuitive music, freely improvised and musique concrète. He enriches the instrumentarium from the domain of electronic music (drum machines, synthesizers, modulars) with melodic elements of sansula, complementing the spectrum with the frequencies of the five-string bass.

Graduate and lecturer at the Lodz Film School. In teaching, he shares his own experience, focusing on the purposefulness and validity of the gestures made, which are to lead to a personal and authentic statement.
