After the fall of communism in 1989, colour TVs are no longer luxury goods in Poland. The screens in many Polish homes are beginning to look more like the reality outside the window. But is reality truly colourful?

This is the synopsis of the film DANCING IN THE CORNER, which will open this year's, 18th ŁPW Lodz Film School Film Review. The film by Jan Bujnowski, a doctoral student at our School, was produced by the INDEKS Film Studio operating at our School. It had its world premiere in the prestigious Semaine de la Critique section of the last IFF in Cannes, where it received the RAIL D'OR award. It won an award for the best short film at the Les Arcs festival and was presented in competitions at international festivals in Tirana, Clermont-Ferrand and Poitiers.

After this festival tour, the filmmakers will visit the Iluzjon Cinema. After the screening, we invite you to a meeting with: director Jan Bujnowski, cinematographer Jan Grobliński, editor Kosma Kowalczyk, production manager Iga Malińska and the film producer Marcin Malatyński. The host of the discussion will be film expert, Bolesław Racięski.
