A second-year acting student is the winner of the Jonasz Kofta Actor's Song Contest. Also among the finalists are Sara Lityńska and Julianna Sroka-Kierończyk. Congratulations!
The Competition featured ten soloists selected from nearly one hundred applicants from all over the country. Among the ten there were three of our students - ALICJA KOGA, SARA LITYŃSKA and JULIANNA SROKA-KIEROŃCZYK.
ALICJA KOGA won the Main Prize of the Competition – the Jonaszek statuette and PLN 10,000, funded by the LodzArte foundation, for singing the songs "Szkoda róż" by Jonasz Kofta with music by Juliusz Loranc and a medley of songs by Wojciech Młynarski "Moknie w deszczu diabeł" and "Moje serce jest wolne", with music composed by Janusz Koman. The artist was accompanied by Marcin Jagiełło. Alicja is a second-year student of acting at our School, a vocalist and violinist. From 2014-2018, she was a member of the vocal and acting ensemble of the Music Theatre in Poznań. She is currently associated with the Metro Musical Song Studio, also in Poznań.
SARA LITYŃSKA, a fourth-year acting student, also participated in the Competition. Sara can currently be seen in the diploma play directed by Cezi Studniak "Kopciuch" at the Studyjny Theatre in Łódź. She is also a member of the Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Łódź, so look out for her in shows such as "Dziady", "Gwałtu, co się dzieje!", "Amadeusz", "Gra w Strindberga" or the upcoming "Świętoszek" directed by Magdalena Piekorz, in which she will play the role of Marianna. Last year, Sara successfully participated in the 44th ASC in Wrocław (finalist), the 27th Festival “Let’s Remember about Osiecka” in Poznań (2nd place) and the 32nd Rock&Chanson Festival in Cologne (3rd place).
Among the finalists was also JULIANNA SROKA-KIEROŃCZYK, a second-year acting student. Julianna was associated with the Word and Sung Poetry Studio at the Zamek Culture Centre in Poznań, where she developed her skills in sensitively using the language of singing. She also gained experience at many national festivals and competitions. She was among the laureates of the National Final of Sung Poetry several times, and in 2023, she gave a recital at the Zamek Culture Centre in Poznań.
The competition participants were assessed by a jury composed of: Wojciech Kościelniak, Danuta Antoszewska, Jacek Bończyk, Piotr Kofta, Jakub Szydłowski, Marek Nędza, Krzysztof Wawrzyniak and Joanna Sokołowska (winner of the previous edition of the competition).
The competition is held as part of the OFF-Północna festival.
We congratulate our students on the award and their competition shows!
