Kei Ishikawa, our directing graduate, will screen his latest film A PALE VIEW OF HILLS in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes International Film Festival.
A PALE VIEW OF HILLS (TÔI YAMANAMINO HIKARI) is a film based on the debut novel by Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro.
The film is co-produced by Lava Films.
Film synopsis: An aspiring young writer born and raised in England sets out to trace her mother's fate in post-war Nagasaki, but the unexplained suicide of her older sister leaves the mother struggling to reveal the truth about her past.

Originally from Japan, he graduated from directing at the Film School in Łódź in 2008. He is the director of such films as: "Traces of Sin", "Listen to the Universe", "Arc", "A Man". The film "A Man" had its world premiere at the 79th Venice IFF. Kei is a winner of the Japanese Film Academy Award.
