On 4th June, one of the best Polish cinematographers, a Lodz Film School ex-lecturer , died in Mainz, Germany, at the age of 87.
Kurt Weber was a professor at the Lodz Film School in 1960-ties, and in the years 1968-1969 was the Dean of Cinematography Department at the school. In 1969, he immigrated to Germany, where he lived in Mainz.
He was the director of photography of the films: Czesław Petelski’s „Baza ludzi umarłych”, Kazimierz Kutz’ „Ludzie z pociągu” and Tadeusz Konwicki’s „Salto”.
