Our basic task is to gather, prepare and make written and audiovisual resources available, and to provide academic and bibliographic information. We gather mostly books on the cinema, television, theatre, photography and the fine arts, thematic dictionaries and encyclopaedias, and literature. The volumes gathered in the Library include a number of unique picture albums and film publications of foreign publishers. Especially for our students and lecturers, we subscribe to film magazines from all over the world. Apart from books, we have an impressive collection of CDs with soundtracks, as well as films on DVDs and Blu-rays. All visitors to the Library are offered professional help in finding the required information. If it is true that information is the best currency, then the Library is unquestionably the School’s treasury.
