The film DIFFERENT PATHS TO HOLINESS is in the Fiction Film Competition of the Idromeno Festival. This is another premiere for our acting students’ diploma film which is also the debut of its director
The festival was founded by a group of students with a clear goal – to direct the Albanian mentality to new tracks in cinema. This idea could only be realized thanks to partners and filmmakers from all over Europe.
And here it is, one of those films that will show a slightly different path to cinema. Because after all, it is not a ‘classic film’. DIFFERENT PATHS TO HOLINESS, the sixth diploma film of a group of final-year acting students marks not only their first appearance on the big screen, but it is also the full-length feature film debut of its director, Aniela Gabryel, our directing graduate.

“Close your eyes and each look at your fears for yourself. They are all justifiable. Each fear is a person from another space. Every fear is a person who is missing something and wants to get somewhere.” Five paths on which the characters meet their greatest fears and obsessions. The body, religion, politics, eco-activism, shamanism and disagreement with sanctity as we know it.
Fingers crossed!
