The Best Full-length Film at the Koszalin "Młodzi & Film" Festival "Intruz" by Magnus von Horn opens the list of winners from the Lodz Film Schools.
In years we got used to finding our school’s graduates and students names amongst the winners of numerous festivals. Koszalin Debut Festival "Młodzi & Film" proves the rule. The festival jury recognized the film “Intruz” directed by Magnus von Horn, our direction graduate and present lecturer, the Best Full-length Film of this year’s festival. The jury’s verdict says: a mature film which deals with an important issue of social ostracism. The film was shot by Łukasz Żal, our cinematography graduate and present lecturer. Mariusz Włodarski, also our school’s graduate and lecturer, was in charge of the film’s production. The screenplay was written under supervision of Andrzej Mellin, the head of the screenwriting faculty.
Best Actress Award was granted to our graduate Agnieszka Żulewska for a role in the film "Chemia" by Bartosz Prokopowicz (for moving and complex performance); and the Best Actor Award went to our lecturer Adam Woronowicz for a role in "Czerwony pająk" by Marcin Koszałka (for true screen depiction of the character played).
In the Short Film Competition the winners from the school were: Best Animation – the film "Pussy" by animation student Renata Gąsiorowska (for surrealistic metaphor of personal freedom) film’s artistic supervisors: Mariusz Wilczyński and Joanna Jasińska Best Documentary – the film "Więzi" by direction student Zofia Kowalewska (for a beautiful and tender presentation of a human being and a skill to reach to the deepest emotions).
And finally two Awards were won by our direction graduate Wojciech Kasperski’s debut film "Na granicy" – Youth Jury Award and the Audience Award. (for an artistic maturity combined with a dramaturgical skill and harmonious combination of sounds and images)
