"Arena", a fiction short film by Martin Rath, a final year direction student, gets the best short film prize at the 17th Motovun Film Festival (26 - 30 July).
Pre-premiere of a diploma play "Kamień" by Marius von Mayenburg on 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 August at the Studyjny Theatre. The play has been directed by Grzegorz Wiśniewski.
On Saturday and Sunday, 26 & 27 July, the screenings of Lodz Film School best recent student films shown within the 17th GIFF took place at the Santa Ana cinema and were very popular.
On July 30, at 9 p.m. at the National Stadium there was a premiere of the film "Miasto 44" directed by Jan Komasa, a Lodz Film School graduate. The film was seen by 10,000 people.
